Sue Stanbury has been running the Danbury Dress Agency, a highly successful ladies' boutique for nearly new and discounted new designer clothing, for the past ten years. You are unlikely to visit any other “designer” boutique with such an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

Arguably the region's best-kept secret, the volume of regular customers speaks for itself - customers who come to browse at leisure through a huge selection of casual wear labels, such as Ghost, Max Mara, Moschino, Joseph, Whistles, Burberry and D&G, to name but a few. Handbags by Prada, Mulberry, Fendi and Gucci are often in stock.

The Danbury Dress Agency has a large selection of evening wear available too, including full-length dresses, cocktail dresses, jackets, tops, skirts and trousers. Labels include Bernshaw, Frank Usher, Betsey Johnson, John Charles and La Perla. There are also pretty wraps, evening bags and shoes, with labels such as Gina, Chanel, Patrick Cox, Gucci, LK Bennett and lots more.

The Dress Agency also offers a selection of summer clothes and swimwear throughout the winter months for out of season holidays and evening wear suitable for winter cruises in warmer climes.

Sue says: “We are not only making designer labels more accessible to our customers, but are providing an outlet for those outfits bought at the height of the season in the most fashionable stores and worn only once. We take commission and price the outfits according to their quality, label and resaleability.”

Currently, more than half of the Dress Agencies stock is NEW (not seconds), but ALL STOCK is sold at discounted prices.

From February onwards a large selection of Wedding outfits is available - suitable for the Mother-of-the-Bride or guests. Hats, shoes and bags to match are usually available.

A selection of hats suitable for Weddings, Ascot etc. is available from February onwards too.

Evening wraps, scarves, belts and bags are arriving weekly - these are all NEW.

An unusual selection of handmade jewellery is always available and changing weekly!
